Wonderful staff, great breakfast, perfect location, beautiful views. We loved staying there. Just be sure to park outside of town at one of the many parking lots and then walk or take the bus into the main town square where the hotel is located. We drove up into the main town square and it was super stressful navigating the narrow hilly streets filled with people. You'll love staying there.
excellent conditions and great surroundings
We absolutely loved this hotel, it is just wonderful! It is located in the centre of the town a short bus ride from Poggibonsi sg station. We originally booked a room with views of the countryside, which was stunning but I then asked if we could upgrade to a room with a balcony and for the extra money we ended up with a huge terrace. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff are first class and very helpful! We can't recommend this hotel more highly, we loved it and will tell all our friends!
The only criticism was that the wifi connection did not work in our room but did in the lobby. The hotel has Internet access (very fast) which costs 1 euro per day!
Perfect location. The room had a wonderful balcony overlooking the hillside. the room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious would highly recomend
One woman at the front desk was not so friendly. If you asked a question it was like an inpositiion
Extremely helpful staff, wonderful location and a most pleasant room with terrace access.
Every one was so nice
We should prefer the breakfast could be taken till 10h30 for example instead of 9h45
Had one of two balcony rooms overlooking the square--room 71--loved waking to the bells, etc. Another in my party had a panoramic room overlooking the countryside--room 83--had a shared large patio/balcony with 4 other rooms. Breakfast was adequate and included in the room rate.
Our room had a balcony. It was lovely to sit outdoors during our stay.
We parked our car in Lot 3 and WALKED up the hill with our suitcases. Not an easy trip for two Senior Citizens. The staff person at the desk did not give us ANY information about the included breakfast regarding times, did not offer ANY information about the internet password or give us any indication where to locate our room.
Situation and views from balcony. Nice outdoor restaurant for lunches.
Offhand welcome, not shown to room. Public areas a little run down and tired looking.
Everything - the location, the deco, not noisy unlike many hotels. We bokked 2 rooms, one single and one double, and both were having little balconies overviewing to the nice Tuscan landscapes. The best hotel during our 10 day stay in Tuscany where we moved and stayed in different towns and hotels.
Great small hotel with good atmosphere we had great views from the room with small private balcony looking over countryside and window to town square perfect position for checking out this gorgeous village
Very beautiful view from breakfast room, excellent location, staff, cleanliness
Did the job just fine and for the right price. Wonderful location on Piazza Cisterna; also liked the free wifi and lovely reception staff.
Breakfast was only okay - glad to have fresh fruit, but would have liked a cappuccino.
I liked the view from my room, it was lovely, also the great location in the middle of the city...nice stay with my youngest daughter.
We liked the location as we had been to San Gimigniano before and the Cisterna was very central with a nice cafe opposite to watch the world go by. Easy access to the church and shops. Lovely view over the countryside.
The receptionist was not at all welcoming - almost hostile. Our room was reached by 28 steps down to the basement. The lift only went to upper floors. When I asked the receptionist if she had a similar room with access by lift as my husband is 88 and finds stairs difficult, she said there was another room but at a much higher price which we did not wish to pay. She just shrugged and went back to her computer. The next morning when I went to pay there was no Good morning or any conversation. She presented the bill, took my credit card, gave me the receipt and turned back to her computer! Not even Goodbye! Her English was good so it was pure rudeness and not to be tolerated in a hotel in lovely surroundings. Very disappointing.
